Travel Arrangement and Arrival support
After you get the visa, it is time to book your flight ticket to China. If you like, we can book the flight ticket for you, particularly domestic flights in China as these can be more expensive or difficult for Australian travel agents to arrange. If you do that by yourself, please pass to us your travel information/itinerary. We need to pass it to the school. The school will pick you up at the airport. So we need to know your travel information.
When you arrive in China, please let us know. It might be a brand-new life for you in China. You need time to get used to it. Don’t worry, we can help you! You can call Lily on 137 783 78222 at anytime. Lily will try her best to help you, even when you want to take a taxi but don’t know how to tell the driver. Lily is Chinese and bilingual, she knows how to live in China, so don’t hesitate to call her.
After you arrive the school needs to apply residence permit for foreign teachers at the police station. During the process if you have any problem to understand or have problems to do that, please let us know, we will explain to you and help you to finish that. Often the school will ask you to give them your passport and they will go and complete this process for you.
Also sometimes the school will ask you to re-sign the contract, this will become the official version where you sign 2 copies and you will keep one and the school keeps a copy. It is best to check it against your original email version of the contract to make sure there are no changes. You may also be asked to attend another medical check in China. This will be the same as what was done on the medical form you have already done. You can see a copy of the form in our Forms menu. Yes we know it is a double up, you are now in China and this is what they do there, go with the flow, at least there should be no charge to you and you have the fun experience of visiting a Chinese medical centre. Don’t worry needles for blood tests etc. are usually disposable or sterilised.
